Employee feedback surveys are one of the most successful and efficient ways for employers to receive feedback. Sometimes it is hard to have the time to ask for feedback, and when there is time it can be hard to get feedback out of people. Surveys are good because they save time and most people will reveal more information when done through a survey than another process such as an interview.
When employers use employee feedback surveys to receive feedback it is much more efficient. They can get the job done a lot quicker and often a lot more effectively. They can ask more questions that employees will be more willing to answer on paper. An employer often does not have time to get around to interviewing all his or her employees. Taking each employee one by one and asking them a list of questions can be very time consuming. Time is precious to a business and it is important that it be used effectively and that each minute is prioritized. While receiving employee feedback can be very beneficial, but if one takes the time to ask employee feedback one-on-one they might not have time to conduct other important matters of business.
If they do decide to have interviews it might be a rushed process so they wonít get to ask as many questions. With a survey employees can ask all the information they want to everybody at the same time. It is a much more efficient process. It can be good to have one-on-one contact between employer and employee, but when asking for employee feedback it is sometimes hard for an employee to give up information or to reveal how they truly feel. Face-to-face their decision might be influenced, whereas on a confidential survey they will not care as much. By using a survey, employees get feedback that is more accurate and they also get a lot more information in a lot less time.
